I think whoever had written it was trying to explain why the first game bothered with giving you points and dropping items that only affected those points. It's also possible that MarioMadness734's comment was directed at the hypothetical rambling part of my comment. But I wasn't trying to mislead anyone with that, it was just a pointless hypothetical ramble. |

The version I was referring to has been publicly available for a while now, and used Dangerous Dave from one of John Romero's earlier games as a placeholder for Mario. It was more recently that we got footage of a version where Mario is actually Mario, which is the one you're thinking of. |

In terms of the hairstyles... yeah apparently there's 40 of them total. So either all of this should be placed in one sheet, or the actual character sprites and the hairstyles could be split into two separate sheets. |
