If you take it but don't have a Feather, you're almost guaranteed to lose the race. The track is literally designed to infuriate players, as turns are exclusively 90 degrees (which aren't designed for the game's absolutely terrible controls), and there's a square segment in the middle of the track that has you do a bunch of turns for no reason, which, once again, is made up of sharp 90 degree turns. SNES Bowser Castle 2 is so bad that I have recently created the J Tier (Lethal) specifically for the track. That's right, I have fourteen tiers: Z Tier means Amazing, Y Tier means Outstanding, X Tier means Awesome, S Tier means Great, A Tier means Good, B Tier means Decent or Above Average, C Tier means Average, D Tier means Lackluster or Below Average, E Tier means Bad, F Tier means Awful, G Tier means Atrocious, H Tier means Intolerable or Insufferable, I Tier means Disaster, and J Tier means Lethal. SNES Bowser Castle 2 is the lowest point the Mario Kart series has ever fallen to, and the fact that the Mario Kart series has fallen to this point in the very first game in the series makes it even worse. |

Though, if he's meant to appears in castle levels, then the black parts should be recolored with another dark color, because otherwise his sprite would blend with the rest of the background. Maybe you could also make his eyes, nostrils, and some other black parts surrounded by another color transparent, so that his sprite looks like it has 4 colors, like Bowser's sprite in the original SMB. |
