Takahashi himself doesn't know why they were added or who added them, reiterated that she shouldn't have one, and Perfect Works (that released 8 months after the pre-release VJump zine and some time before the Bradygames English guide) did not include either Kharim or Kasim. Basically, they don't appear in any official Squaresoft material and weren't added by anyone on the dev/writing team. |

Wii. While the reinterpretations are valid in their own context, they don't change what they were portrayed as in prior media, and I don't really think this should be seen as any different. He-She is fictional, and thus can be portrayed however the writers want. The writers can decide to have Bridget be trans from now on, the writers can also decide to roll back to how Bridget was before. It all depends. I myself am trans and found the shift to be poorly executed. |

The creator stated his intention with Bridget clear throughout the years. "While I was creating the characters in Guilty Gear, I had a spot for a cute character. I thought it would be too boring if the character was just cute, so I thought it would be interesting to make the character a guy." Bridget was specifically created to not be another cute girl character, so they made him a guy as the gimmick. This story repeated across other interviews where he acknowledged that's what made him popular to the applause of many people. So he either lied to multiple people, and his loyal fans somehow for 20 years straight, (which wouldn't be our fault and make him more in the wrong,) or he is simply lying now to make himself look good. But apparently having issue with blatant lying makes me transphobic and I'm never allowed to call, prefer, or see Bridget as a man, and I should just give up my personal experience and attachment to him because an internet stranger said so. It's annoying |

You don't get to declare for longtime fans that they don't have the right to feel betrayed or angry because you and your ilk selfishly and arbitrarily decided it's transphobic when it's not. Bridget isn't a real person, he's fictional character who's identity, self-worth, personality, friendship, motivation, and story were retcon for the sake making the most egregious character assassination since Luke Skywalker, and some stranger online thinks I'm not allowed to hate and voice MY opinions of it. That is utter nonsense, and I find that offensive and intellectually dishonest. |

I'm sick and tired of living in a world where the character I was attached to is now retroactively "label" transphobic to make it morally corrupt to criticize the writing of them. Stop attach your identity onto a fictional character, and denying the representation he was for femboys and gay men a like back then, and even the transmen. You don't know anything. Bridget is the first popular trap that set off the genre itself back then, and I find that deeply offensive that thinking wanting that back is "transphobic," and stop deleting my comments and defending a bad story and character you know nothing about for superficial politics to make yourself look good. It's annoying and is a genuine violation of my experience with Bridget |
