| Aug 26, 2026 4:50 PM | Gaia | Asset: Sonic the Hedgehog | Just had a stark realization, some of the unused sprites would later be retooled to become Metal Sonic's. One animation in particular bears a striking resemblance to one of Metal Sonic's attacks. The second, more famous attack where he dashes towards Sonic at full speed, is using Sonic's Mid-Air Rotation. Likewise, Sonic's drowning sprite was retooled into Metal Sonic's defeat pose. Now that's clever use of resources! |
