I did rip these from the PC version, but decided to submit it as Wii U because plenty of stuff from that version remains in the files, and I just didn't think it made much of a difference.

I've seen graphics for multiple versions in multiple Sonic games (PS2 and Xbox buttons in the graphics for the GameCube version of Shadow the Hedgehog, for example). It's possible the PC version graphics are in the Wii U version. Probably saves time in the porting process.
