@eviemaybe It's like that on the original sprite as well, only difference is that they have enough room for some subtle shading to indicate that he has a pupil there. I did consider changing the eye a bit so his pupil could be visible, but it just didn't look right to me. |

Woah, that's weird. I found it interesting that the Ultra remake had 24x24 tiles, but it turns out the tiles were that size in the original too? How is that even possible? I thought tiles on the snes had to be 8x8, 16x16, or 32x32, etc. edit: wow in the past two years since I made this very naive comment I have learned a lot about how the SNES works, and now know that all the snes knows about is 8x8 tiles. You can make your game engine's "tiles" be any multiple of 8 but the graphics processor itself does not care. |
