@Nikostormkilla I'm guessing Sonic monitors that resemble the iMac G3. Makes sense as the S3K monitor resembles a classic Macintosh. (The ones in the rest of the classic series are based more on IBM's 90s PC monitors) |

When the game came out in 1991, Apogee were concerned about getting sued so they renamed it "Duke Nukum" But when they found out it wasn't a registered name, they took the chance and trademarked it. In short, this would mean if Captain Planet were to be revived, they legally wouldn't be allowed to use the name again. So the villain would have to be either renamed or replaced. |

Well... I may be 5 years late, but these effects are correct. You don't make them transparent, you set them to use additive blending (in early versions of photoshop its called linear dodge but the technical term is additive blending.) Subtractive blending will do the inverse of darkening things by removing the color (making it look dark and inverted hue). Multiply will darken without altering the hue. These are the three main blending modes used in game engines for glowing effects, and are more or less identical in art programs. |
