These really aren't so much items that you collect but are actually the residents of the Fantasy Kingdom that you're trying to rescue. The English version has quite a few differences from the original Japanese: -The bell pepper's outline was changed from gray to dark green. -The lotus root was replaced with a potato. -The sweet potato was replaced with an onion. -The turnip was redrawn. -The banana was recolored to be slightly darker. -The onigiri was replaced with a hamburger (this seems to happen a lot). -The flan was recolored to be more orange/brown. |

Seems there was going to be a 5th, aquatic-themed area that was scrapped (these are actually located between the Cake Land and Toy Land objects, except for the scallop and jellyfish which are elsewhere due to limited space). I don't know what the actual palettes for these are, so for now I just made them grayscale. |

Don't really see many customs based on it. Now having made these, it almost makes me want to do SMAS versions of ALL the graphics from the arcade original and make a full-on SNES style remake of the game. If only I could actually do any programming... |
