Not many games took advantage, paid downloaded games was still early days on a console so not many were aware of the now closed DSi shop* plus it was also region locked that its successor 3DS was the same (most DS games weren't region locked but a few late ones were if played on a DSi and not the other models). People either stuck with DS/DS Lite, gone to the PSP (that in some places was already starting to decline, console sold pretty well though especially in mainland Europe), waiting for the 3DS or just played elsewhere e.g. 360, PS3, Wii, PC. Then again when it came out, my interest in gaming was fairly low outside of helping here. * - A combination of not everyone had the Internet, changing Wi-Fi standards and I think the DSi shop had some size restrictions meant that a lot of retail games weren't possible? It wasn't like the 3DS/Vita where a majority of physical games also got a digital release, even the 360 and the PS3 were hit and miss whether a retail game got a digital release too but generally got better as the generation continued. Usually when it comes to console updates, the last model is the least desired one (GBA Micro, PSP Go, Wii Mini, New 3DS, PS3 Super Slim). Speaking of which, wonder why here says DS / DSi but the 3DS doesn't say 3DS / New 3DS? (Even if it is more or less just Xenoblade, Fire Emblem Warriors and a few others.) |

I was one of the pioneers for Phase's Sonic Battle Hacking Suite tool, at least...earlier versions of it, but the community grew larger right afterwards. First mod I tried to do was Dark Super Sonic in Sonic Battle, but it was a failure of a W.I.P., LOL. |

I feel like some frames should have different mouth poses or no mouth at all. Especially the skid sprites, and good/bad ending sprites. |
