Gotta love how some of them aren't even looking forwards.
Whoever made the game probably tried to edit out Kirby's foot and arm to where it's just his head, but it ended up looking like a butt...

What even is happening in Kirby's image? Are those his limbs or just his butt? Because he has no left foot.

So whoever made the sprites took the image above from either this page or this page on the Mario Wiki (or possibly found it with Google images), edited Mario's head so his mouth isn't permanently open, and used his head and hands to make his other sprites.
Not sure where the shoes and jetpack come from, and the body looks like it's custom (although, I could be wrong). And it's pretty obvious where the "customizations" come from.
