@TheEric132 I wish they had made new ground and ring graphics to fit with the style of the doodle-like graphics, but considering this is a flash game advertising for a tv show, it makes sense
This sprite of Sonic appears to be based on a simplified version of Sonic's design that appears in "How to Catch a Hedgehog". During each sequence of Chuck Thorndyke explaining his next method to capture Sonic, a similar-looking Sonic doodle can be seen playing out the scenario, including the same running motion seen in the game.
