Now this reminded me of Pocket Bomberman! Wich also doesn't contain those walking sprites either and I think it's should be inspiration for this asset.
yeah I was surprised there's no up/down walking sprites for this reason
"Ew! blurry pixels!"
Also, I have a feeling that the style should be an imitation of some old school Bomberman game, like the DS games or possibility Saturn Bomberman.
