@KarazKun If your goal is saving time and money, then yes, it's a good move.
If your goal is making unique enemies that are memorable and being faithful to the original game, then no, it's not a good move.
The Puffer Cheep was more unique than a regular Cheep just with spikes on top.

This is, without a doubt, the same graphic from Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, but colored purplish blue.... and is a Spiny Cheep-Cheep.

I think this is actually good move. Reuse the sprites so it'll save them time from making new ones from scratch.
