Hello all! Sorry that my icon isn't as awesome as the rest of our new ones. Someone hasn't made me one yet *nudgenudge* :P

I'm here to formally open up the site to user submissions! At the top of you screen, in the dark red bar, you should see a bold "Submit" link. Clicking that will bring you to our new public control panel which functions much like the rest of the site. To get started, you can edit your profile to include a submitter name (it defaults to your username) or head on over to one of the consoles, and navigate as usual until you find the game you'd like to submit to. You can also add a new game to any console if it doesn't exist yet by following the same procedure.

Submissions from users will be queued for approval by staff so don't fret if you don't see your sheet up immediately. Over all though, this system should help get content onto the site much more quickly than before.

If you have any questions, you are welcome to comment here but I encourage all feedback, bug reports, questions, and anything else related to this new system to be posted in this thread to make things easier to manage.

Thanks, and happy submitting!

At least for the accepted ones. People should still get PMs if their sheets get declined.

We're going to work on a way of disabling PM notifications from the edit profile page, but at the moment there isn't an option - sorry! We'll see to getting something in place today if possible.

So, I can't help but to notice that I get a private message every time one of my sheets is approved for the site. Is that automatic, perhaps can it be disabled? It is very nice to hear that my sheets have been accepted, but I generally submit something like 10-30 sheets at a time and getting my inbox (and thus my email inbox) flooded with a message for each sheet feels like a perhaps wonky way of informing me. It isn't a huge issue, just something that I anticipate will become slightly annoying over time.

Aside from that, however, the new method of submitting sprites is absolutely keen, great work guys! Now that I've given it a test run I can't wait to submit some more stuff!

Very interesting, I'll definitely have to try this out with some sheets I've been ripping. The system looks clean, I love the process. Well thought out, I can't wait to take it for a spin.

I got a private message on the forums about mine getting accepted! I'm not sure about the rejection thing though. :X

Are we notified of acceptance/rejection? Or do we have to monitor whether or not its there constantly?

While it is still technically possible to submit the old way, it is much preferred to use the new system. In the end, it is actually easier for everyone. You don't have to upload to a third party site and then post on the forum and the staff doesn't have to download and then re-upload to the site. It's win-win!

Well see, doing it this way saves staff more work because we don't have to fill in the information and upload it ourselves (which has risk for error). :P

I can still submit sheets through the old way, so I'm good.

People with staff access to the control panel will see "CP" in place of "Submit" so you're good :)

It doesn't say "Submit" for me. Or did you mean "CP"?
