WHY IS THE BACKGROUND COCA-COLA
I assume the Cola advertisement (darling symbol of decadent western capitalist imperialism, introduced to the PRC in 1978) was interspersed ironically with images of Maoist propaganda as a way to satirise how full of shit and self contradictory Chinese state 'communism' is / was by that point (like pretty much all authoritarian / personality cult derived regimes and ideologies are).
Or more likely I'm just projecting my own interpretations onto signs that aren't actually there and the creator really was just a one note hack shoving in as many random lolchina internet jpegs and screencaps of whatever snuff documentaries he had on hand with no particular rhyme or reason other than to draw attention to his little anti-nintendo protest project.

I generally like how there’s a coca-cola in the background man I feel like the developer had no ideas what background he will use but he only slapped a coca-cola in there.. damn
