Might rerip some animations, cause they use completely different palette (231, 231, 231) pretty sure they were taken from internet.
This is actually just shining on his shoe (it's yellow for style/palette limit purposes), and it's a leftover from Sonic's walk cycle in Sonic 2, as 3 reuses it heavily. In 2, the yellow shine is more prominent. So I personally doubt Yuda (sprite artist) intended on adding buckles, as they're seen nowhere else.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet, but the snowboard sprites are missing an extra frame of terrain elevation for the least steep slopes. I hope that can be remedied!
There's a stray pixel on the second frame of Sonic's ending pose I just felt like mentioning here. Not sure if it's a RIP error, most likely as the purple appears nowhere else on the sheet.

...Are you confusing those with the icon sizes? (Not like the numbers you were saying were the correct ones -- those are 148x125, not "142x124".) Submissions themselves don't have a maximum or minimum size.

Sometimes I look at games with uploads like this and wonder if anyone's ever thought of just uploading it with the icon used for the char select for making a new save file. Like I have a feeling it could work. Just a thought.

@MadeKillaSam I think the Mania sprites are also Sonic 2 sprites with edits too, except with an insane number of frames. the work they put into Mania is pretty insane.
