By default, all traffic will be challenged but logged in users will bypass those challenges completely. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause as it was never our intention to try to force registration and you certainly still don't have to - passing one of those challenges should keep you in the clear for a half-hour otherwise.

Lain can sometimes replace the Toad retainers in castle levels. She picks up the player and throws them. It's worth noting in 2.1.5.2 she actually causes the game to error out due to a bug, and the way she's programmed in means that theoretically, should you encounter her a million or so times in a single session without closing the game, it might bug out and crash.
