The sprites themselves only use 3 bit planes, so they can only use a palette of 8 colors, even in EGA mode. Not sure if this was to save space, or to provide better color mapping for CGA mode.

@DZTVE YM2612 is the main sound chip*. The only other thing that used it is the FM Towns as most devices back then used either the YM2151, YM2203 or other chips. It can also use the PSG to add an extra 4 sound channels that was inherited from the Master System.

* - Later models replaced this with the YM3438 but Sega cheapened out on the circuitry on many of the batches making them sound worse than they should by having muffled sound. It can be fixed with a mod though.

Yeah it does sound really cool, in the right hands of course. e.g. Yuzo Koshiro, Matt Furniss, Jesper Kyd, Hitoshi Sakamoto and those are the composers that I can name off the top of my head.

Something that occurs to me is that the upper floor lift is in the wrong position relative to the lower floor lift. I think this is to accomodate the pool, though the lower floor lift might as well have been located more centrally.

So having any videos on the go was in it's infancy at the time. And as others pointed out, it's a heavily compressed and bitcrushed mess.
