| Dec 1, 2024 10:14 PM | BLINXGLITCHES | Asset: Minigame Transition (Super Sudsy Scrubber Zone) | For those wondering how I ripped this: The Torus GBA games use the same engine as their Leapster games and even have the same decompression functions. Using this knowledge, I was able to inject some asset data into a GBA ROM (Shrek Smash n' Crash Racing in this case), do a bit of research to find where it gets loaded into memory and grab the map data (which gets stored in EWRAM as 2 parts - the block map and the background map). For the tiles, I just saved PALRAM and VRAM to a file. The compression algorithm appears to be unique to the Torus Games game engine, so it needs to be reverse engineered to rip stuff without these workarounds. |

You will, however, be able to view and cancel your own pending revisions so you will not need to wait for them to be reviewed or request staff to reject them in order to fix a mistake. |
