For being such unique sections and using different controls rather than the standard platforming, a grand total of TWO LEVELS in the game utilize this change in gameplay (World 2-2 and World 7-2), and they're both the same level, just with different enemy placements. I know most people don't like underwater levels mainly for their swimming mechanics, I kind of enjoy the concept of having another set of controls for specific areas, and I feel like they missed their full potential. |

| Jan 18, 2025 3:26 PM | Random Talking Bush | Game: Kirby: Canvas Curse | @Doc von Schmeltwick: The other four playable character sprite sheets that aren't Kirby were all tile-ripped in the first place (I couldn't screen-grab them as the emulators at the time weren't capable of saving and crashed during the ending!) as were most of the enemy/boss sprites, and months ago I revised my sprite sheets here to have consistent palettes (as emulator and tile-ripping palettes weren't identical) so I'm not sure they need to be re-ripped. If anything, just a reorganization to split up the individual animations would be all they need. |

| Jan 18, 2025 3:21 PM | Doc von Schmeltwick | Game: Kirby: Canvas Curse | @DarkMatterMan The character rips here are from 2006, which was when ripping, particularly through methods like tiles from emulators, was much, much more difficult than it is nowadays (and even now it's hardly a picnic). On one hand, they should probably be replaced, but at the same time I'd hate to see them go, they've been on the site since basically the beginning. |
