Nintendo was really obsessed with the Can Can during the NES years, weren't they? I mean, Can Can in Arcade Donkey Kong Jr and even Can Can on the go when you get a star in Super Mario Land.
Yeah, in between the second and third stages there's a cutscene where Mario takes DK away in a helicopter and Junior follows him floating with an umbrella, and text says:
KEEP GOING
TO MARIO'S HIDEOUT
BE CAREFUL !
all while a rendition of the Can Can plays.
