@DogToon64 there's no character models on the original SMM page, also I'm pretty sure the NSMBU Mario model used in this is lower poly than the Wii U version.

@dany1994gus All Backgrounds in this game are 2D Images. The thing about the NSMBU theme, is that the images are layered on top of each other and move at different speeds, giving the illusion of 3D depth, much like NSMB's BG's.

@ConiCap Both NSMB and SMM3DS use 3D Models for Mario, Bosses and Yoshi. Since Mario was only viewed at certain angles, he was an exception in NSMB. I dont know if the same can be said for this game.
