This is not intended behavior and is meant to auto-close when zooming as well. We're working on resolving this with our provider but in the meantime, refreshing often fixes it. @thelegosensei once someone does port the skins ad textures it will most likely be on the textures resource just like the windows 10 version and regular minecraft.
