Hey everyone! Hope you're all doing well.

It's another hot and muggy one here in the US Northeast. A good reason to stay inside and update the website!
Not surprisingly, we have another great group of sprites and rips for you this week. Arcade games in particular seem like a bottomless well I'll never stop being surprised by the contents of. Arcades were slightly before my time, so I missed out on a lot of those games. It's crazy to see the graphics go from Atari-like to SNES/N64-like under the banner of just one "system." Pretty crazy to think about!

Customs are looking awesome this week too! Shredditz has a whole lineup of X-Men sprites, Rayaanfan9 brings our Tunnelbot sheetcount to an inexplicable count of three. It's very cool, but it's such a random choice. I love it. And MadeKillaSam has teamed up with hansungkee for an incredible (and hilarious to think about) Sonic Spinball Super Sonic. Awesome job to you guys and everyone else who contributed this week!

Have an awesome week, peeps. And let me know in the comments; did you spend much time at arcades when they were in their heyday, or have you only been to them in their recent, often alcohol-related resurgence? Or not at all? Do you know what an arcade is at all?

a few days ago, I got an unwanted computer, so I installed ubuntu on it and turned it into my second computer
(for now, at least. it has a celeron, 256 gigabytes of storage, and 8 gigabytes of ram.)
it makes for a good way to play super tux and a linux port of 3D pinball. if you come across a working computer from 2018 onwards that isn't necessarily the best for serious usage, I would strongly recommend turning it into a linux project box.
edit: I know this isn't at all relevant, but... well, I don't know.

I grew up with Midway Arcade Treasures on my GameCube. I think that's how I became familiar with arcade games in general.

Thanks for the mention!

Oh yeah I used to go to the arcade when I visited the US at my favorite mall.

I remember playing TMNT, TMNT Turtles in Time, G.I.Joe, Daytona, X-Men VS SF and some others

As a teen I beat House of the Dead (dual pistols), and Soul Edge as Sigfried. Almost beat MvsSF.

It's been a while since that feature was added so I do t 100% remember how it works but I'm pretty sure it searches for exact name matches in other consoles. Extending that to matches on any alternative name might cause the query to become too slow but I can look into it.

I have a suggestion for the sites: Is it possible add a way to find a game under "Similar Games" if it has one or more of the same alternative names?
