@The Observer ok, thanks for clarifying

@Ruskah: I'm ripping things in a much more different manner than how it's been covered previously, and it takes longer since I have to research and test content to ensure total accuracy. Wacky Workbench lives up to its name in this regard, as there's a bit more than expected when I had some glances into it.

Simply, it'll be done when its done.

@The Observer why? aren't they like the other zones?

@Ruskah: On their way; they're not amongst the easiest of stages to rip.

where is WWZ bad and good future?

ummmm... can someone add the unused R2 Boss and Badnicks? i can't seem to find them in any version

Only the original version used sprites because the Mega CD couldn't cope very well in terms of palette and frame rate speed so instead of having a blocky video they just redrew certain sections/animation frames into sprites. Notice how clear the cutscenes are compared the typical FMV game the Sega CD got. It would take quite a while to rip though. From the 1996 PC port onwards Sega used the original animation video so they can't be sprite ripped.

Many of the old Mega CD and PC Engine games mostly from Japanese companies did use sprites for cutscenes, some like the PC Engine Sailor Moon "game" pretty much the entire game are sprite cutscenes. Not sure about Road Avenger or Time Gal though...

@beanluv: In the case of the CD-i games, they're actually stored as paletted sprite files, so they do in fact count.

@Random Talking Bush: yet you did for numerous CD-i games and more

@Sonicfan32: That's kinda why I was asking about the FMV being ripped and put into a sheet or something. The remastered FMV doesn't even really need to be ripped because it isn't even in the RSDK file.

I just found out that all the "FMVs" are actually sprites, but I'd imagine how tough it would be to rip them all.

Any chance we can also have the .zips for the stages? (for me, the .zip files make it easy for me to use the stage tiles without have to rip them from the sheet, Which I do poorly.)

That's ok, better than nothing
Good and bad future would be nice, too

So I heard about your guys' situation with the Wacky Workbench Backgrounds. I actually had a friend of mine rip the Past time period's 256x256 tiles for me, and I was wondering if you guys wanted to have it. It's incomplete (Missing 16x16 sprites and animated sprites/objects) but I can easily grab the former from the Taxman remake.

EDIT: Realized I didn't specify which time period he ripped.

We should archive the level pieces in some level sheets(because these sheets are HUGE!)

Its weird how when robotnik is in his egg mobile, he looks different and when he is out of it, he's normal

& Knuckles*

The Eggmobile in this game really didn't do Eggman's posture any favors...

She's very busy at the moment. Working on a couple of fangames making pixelart.

I don't know what happened to PicsAndPixels, but it looks like the remaining backgrounds for Wacky Workbench won't be uploaded any time soon. :(

@beanluv: We couldn't accept individual frame rips of movie files like that.
