It does feel like Catwoman suddenly being black in the third season of Batman 1966 due to a recast and the Koopalings suddenly not being Bowser's children as of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. While the reinterpretations are valid in their own context, they don't change what they were portrayed as in prior media, and I don't really think this should be seen as any different. He-She is fictional, and thus can be portrayed however the writers want. The writers can decide to have Bridget be trans from now on, the writers can also decide to roll back to how Bridget was before. It all depends. I myself am trans and found the shift to be poorly executed.

Nice to know there are some people with a head on their shoulders, also that "planned from the beginning" is an utter lie. The creator stated his intention with Bridget clear throughout the years. "While I was creating the characters in Guilty Gear, I had a spot for a cute character. I thought it would be too boring if the character was just cute, so I thought it would be interesting to make the character a guy." Bridget was specifically created to not be another cute girl character, so they made him a guy as the gimmick. This story repeated across other interviews where he acknowledged that's what made him popular to the applause of many people. So he either lied to multiple people, and his loyal fans somehow for 20 years straight, (which wouldn't be our fault and make him more in the wrong,) or he is simply lying now to make himself look good. But apparently having issue with blatant lying makes me transphobic and I'm never allowed to call, prefer, or see Bridget as a man, and I should just give up my personal experience and attachment to him because an internet stranger said so. It's annoying

I did hear something about the character's creator wanting Bridget to be trans at first but not really being able to then for reasons... but I do agree it was performed very sloppily and late after years of Bridget being proudly a femboy, especially given the "outing" happening as a failure route.
