Ugly thang
This might be the most perplexing sheet I have seen in my entire life, like the more you look at it the worse it gets. The random bits of mixeled/unedited parts in the balancing animation, the complete mess that is his brow in the victory pose (and everywhere else,) some sprites having two mouths, and the occasional artificing and lack of shading like on the corkscrew. There is a beauty in how uniquely terrible these upscales are lol.
They just did not get the brow ridge at all.

I don't have any plans on expanding it, if anyone else is asking. I made what I made to be purely a showcase of how sprites resizes don't have to look so... botched all the time.
...and perhaps as an exercise for my own skills, too. There's still things that can be improved on my version (I hate that thumb, and his left arm could certainly be done better), but regardless, yeah, the overall result is pretty decent.

Felt like fixing one of these sprites, in a way that upscaled the original advance ones more elegantly, for the standards of a bigger size.
I'm kind of proud of it, tbh. Instead of editing the GBA sprite, I used it as a base to trace over. Doing this for all the sprites would've been a lot of work (especially when I'd expect more frames to be added for more smoothness for the size, at least ideally), but it would've looked a lot better than... these. Just not enough reinterpretation on these official resizes which just looks off. I still tried to be accurate, but I let myself change some shading and whatever whenever necessary. Hell, even add more detail.

Appreciate their effort on upscaling the sprites, but Sonic just looks like he's high on drugs with his googly eyes.
It looks like the sprite was in the hqx filter and they edited it.
...these sprites are the exact size for a Pizza Tower reskin,,, SLOPPERS!!!!! DO YOUR SLOP JOB!!!!!

These remind me of those upscaled sprites from that one tiny chao garden minigame, except worse. And what is going on with his muzzle in those diagonal sprites and the idle animation?
