64X new system based on this
personally i think the polygonal look is pretty cool
man id love to make sprites from a model... especially if i could do one for my ocs
smooth shading only makes it worse.
edit: I'm fine with how it looks (if my revision gets approved)

You can turn on smooth shading by right-clicking and selecting "smooth shading". If that's what you're talking about
Edit: also, if you want part of it to be flat-shaded, you can select one or more edges or faces, then right-click and select "mark sharp" Spoiler:which sounds like a TV detective. Apologies if you already know this

it could also be some sort of compression or artifacting Blender puts in place.
edit: most likely

Blender does not have flat shading in mind, since its' rendering engine is meant for high quality renders using realistic shadows.
edit: not in all circumstances. only the Cycles engine is meant for that. I'm using the Eevee rendering engine.

Why aren't they? /gen
just in case anyone is wondering, these sprites are raw renderings from Blender, meaning the polygons are not flat shaded. I wish they were.
These keep making me think of "Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing"

Prerendered low poly goodness ^^
(or the Saturn 64X idk lmao)
