I don't have any plans on expanding it, if anyone else is asking. I made what I made to be purely a showcase of how sprites resizes don't have to look so... botched all the time. ...and perhaps as an exercise for my own skills, too. There's still things that can be improved on my version (I hate that thumb, and his left arm could certainly be done better), but regardless, yeah, the overall result is pretty decent. |

I'm kind of proud of it, tbh. Instead of editing the GBA sprite, I used it as a base to trace over. Doing this for all the sprites would've been a lot of work (especially when I'd expect more frames to be added for more smoothness for the size, at least ideally), but it would've looked a lot better than... these. Just not enough reinterpretation on these official resizes which just looks off. I still tried to be accurate, but I let myself change some shading and whatever whenever necessary. Hell, even add more detail. |

| Dec 2, 2025 9:49 AM * | Vince | Asset: Generation 2 Pokémon | I do believe that Chinchou's 4th frame is actually incorrect- when looking at the Blue Moon Falls and Bulbapedia gifs, the frame doesn't have any yellow on the left (Chinchou's right) lamp, nor do either lamps have any black pixels around the bulb parts. Edit: Upon looking at them in-game, I'm wrong. BMF and Bulbapedia must've cleaned up that frame for their respective gifs. Interesting. |
