@DogToon64 Yoshi's big nose is gone! And don't even get me started about Baby Yoshi. He's literally just a blob!

Then people would hate Yoshi.
Oh the horror!

Wow, say if this made it into the final game?

This was something that was publicly shown off, and they were rebuilt using said tileset seen in the corner of the sheet. This is one of the few exceptions to the rule.

@shadowman44 This was made way before the gigaleak though

So, uhhh should we get rid of this because of the gigaleak?

Great sheet, dude! I made a 3-colors version out of the sprites in the right side

Yoshi maybe used to be a brontosaurus?

@Lemon Nope, we gotta make a new name, given how many permutations of Mario there are (Malleo, Fortran, multiple Mari's, Malltranari, Murkekow, Young Fortran, Fat Mario, Grand Dad...)

The original Yushee, I suppose.

So in the original versions of Super Mario World, not only did Mario actually punch Yoshi, but Yoshi also looked like some sort of Burtonesque monstrosity.

Frankly, I'm glad that both of these ideas got changed.

@Snessy
It wasn't from a released prototype, but it was clearly used in a prototype at some point, since apparently tiles existed in a game at some point during making it.

Why is this sheet named "Yoshi (Prototype)"? This sprite didn't appear in any prototypes (There aren't even any SMW prototypes currently avaliable). A better title for it would "Yoshi (Pre-release)".

Well, I mean the design would've been okay if he'd had a longer tail.

Ah, okay. It's a pretty good recreation, though.

What about the yellow blob and the swallowing parts? (The ones on the up-right.)

Alright, I updated the sheet to include what may be the alpha version of Baby Yoshi.

Well he was initially intended to be a Koopa, but that's just horrifying.

@SiFi270 Yeah, I imagined so as well.

Looks like Yoshi's finally facing the repercussions of falling down pits that many times...mostly in the facial region.

I'm pretty sure the blob-like thing in the lower left (also found in green on the sheet with the unused Hammer Bros. designs) was supposed to be this design's version of Baby Yoshi, rather than the later Baby Yoshi you used in this sheet.
