	Might I suggest doing a side-by-side comparison of some of the original 8-bit sprites to their Wily Wars counterparts?

	I mean to be honest, with the shading I'd say you could get away with calling it "Game Gear/Master System" style.

	No offense, but this isn't Wily Wars style. That game's bosses have entirely new sprites, as opposed to just repainted versions of their NES sprites. Granted, the enemies ARE just repaints. Still looks good, though!
