@semerl It depends whether you can access the service mode in Pac-Man Museum+...

In the original arcade version, if you set the DIP Switch of the Service Mode to on it gives you a menu whether to have the Round Select On or Off. The default in MAME is on and many Namco arcade games did give you that option with the default being on.

If you can't access service mode, then Bandai Namco blocked it as it would interfere with achievements. It might be possible on the PC version with a hack/mod as AFAIK it is running off emulation or a port.

It may have been a bit more efficient to include the alternate brightness settings in the form of color palettes.
