That's cool. I just don't think he should look like http://www.spriters-resource.com/gameboy.../sheet/166 too much. It's way too cartoony. We should take his design and make it match Brawl's style. Like they did with Bowser.

I agree that the majority of the head needs work, but I actually think it would make sense that K Rool doesn't look quite straight in front of him. I think the eyes are just hilarious.

it isn't the best outline but ehh its a start i guess.

the biggest problem i keep running into while trying to outline him was the fact that i keep making him too damn big!

That idle is painfully boring. It's okay for a start but it should not be used for a final idle sprite at all.

i know i was planning on using his idle from dkc but it looks terrible in this style. maybe his boxing but then again we could make up a more original stance for him.

What if we gave him an old-timey "fisticuffs" idle like you might see in an old Popeye cartoon? Something like this;



And he kind of "hops" as his legs swap positions. If I can find an animation I'll post it.

I have to admit, I kinda like the fisticuffs idea, but maybe have it as a seconday idle he switches to every few seconds or so.

I think a regular kind of idle will be fine. His body type would make that fisticuffs thing kinda difficult. Also remember to use these as references.
