RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III
And it's time for another BG sheet! ID card is go, yo~!

Stage S/W - Industrial Factory(Rockman - The Power Battle)
Told ya there'd be some from the prequel too.

This time around it's a stage BG from the first Rockman arcade game. Took even lesser than the previous sheet!
As before, all three variants are present. Hope I didn't miss anything. ...Aand yeah, no icon for this one either.*Sweatdrop* It's not that I've grown lazy, it's just I'm having trouble on making a good one.

This time I've decided to "number"(Again, stretching the definition here) the stages based on their positions on the map. In this case, it's South/West.

First post as always, people. And just 'coz I can't leave you guessing, a preview of that big thing I'm working on in the meantime.

Phase 1 status: 75% complete. Still need to assemble the SFX.
Phase 2 status: FFFFFFF-- haven't even started yet.

Yup, I've officially decided to abandon my mental sanity(Or what's left of it anyway) for good. Ah well, it's so overrated anyway.

And it's time for another sheet! All in a morning's work, too. Neat!

Stage B# - PharaohMan's Tomb(Rockman 2 - The Power Fighters)
Boy, this one had more stuff than I thought.

If you're wondering why I gave that name to the BG... no idea, really. Though, that sphinx in the back does look like PharaohMan. Anyway, all three variants are here, just like before.
And hello, I've actually made an icon this time!

First post as always, people. And now, I'm off to continue progress on that big thing.

BUMP-O! There's a new BG sheet dead ahead, people! Have some ID cards.

Stage N/W - Sky Land(Rockman - The Power Battle)
Today's weather forecast: sunny with some clouds here and there.

North/West stage in the map, probably the easiest one to rip in the game since the only moving part is the background. Not much to say here, except all three variants are here as of before.
Also included as a bonus is the rain SFX tiles that periodically comes during CloudMan's battle. Some assembly required.

As always, first post for the sheet. *Goes off to work on the big thing*

BUMP!! And double post. But hold it, something's missing here... Ha! Got it!
*Picks up a computerized stereo and turns it on. An instrumental version of "Me, Marisa"* can be heard in the background*
Yeah, needed some fitting music for this moment... Here's today's sheet's ID card.

The Kraken[Final Boss of "Metal Slug 7"]
[Image: animms7realfinalboss.gif] <-- "Computer, some appropriate music, please." *An instrumental version of "CLEAR Made Wa Nemuranai!!"** starts playing*

...Finally, I've finished it...*Wheeze* Yup, here's the big thing I've been working on. A FULL spritesheet of MS7's final boss, the Kraken itself, in all its mechanized glory. Includes both phases and ALL animation/SFX/whatever in the data.
And lemme tell ya right now, this bozo was no joke. I had to make numerous travels(You know what I mean) to get all the correct palette entries. Couple of notes on the sheet, by the way:

1. Appearently, the tentacles' electric attack SFX palette and the main body's cannon shoot/glow SFX palette are the same. I've double-checked to be sure, but I may still be wrong on this.
2. As said in the sheet, the second "Appearing" animation of the capsule bomb SFX is a slightly modified version of the first one. Just a little extra.
3. Those red lights that go in the blue part's top/right are extras too, BTW. It seems those blank spots are supposed to be blank(Didn't find anything resembling lights to fill the gaps in the tiles...).
4. Not much else to add, except JEEZ did this one give me a run for the money.

And that's all. Also, new tag picture style test. I think I'll use this style mainly for the bosses in the MS games, since some of 'em are just too big to fit in the normal tag pics I use.

As always, check out the first post for the sheet. See ya 'round, and have fun!

*Track 11 of IOSYS' "Touhou Bubbling Underground" arrangment soundtrack. Most badass rendition of Marisa's theme ever made, if you ask me.
**By TEAM Nekokan. There's probably a video of it in Youtube somewhere...

RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III
And it's another "BUMP!!"/triple post combo. Ah well, there's a new sheet ahead. A BG sheet, even.

Mission 4: Bottom of the Sea(Area 3: Down the Tubes)[Metal Slug 5]
...You know, maybe I could've thought of an area name without going for a blatantly obvious Earthworm Jim reference.

But yes, it's a full(As full as it can be) background rip of Area 3 of Mission 4: Bottom of the Sea from MS5. Complete with animated BG(Which is edited, BTW), environmental stuff and what-not. ...Oh, and yeah, there's a bit of blank space here and there.

First post as per usual, people.

Backgrounds are always good for comic-makers. I hope to see more in the future. And the Kraken is bloody awesome. Good job on that sucker.

RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III
BUMP!! And what-not! There's a new sheet up, everyone, and right before the holidays- ...Wait. We're already in the holidays?

*Right eye twitches* ...Oh, DANGIT!! IT'S 2008 ALL OVER AGAIN!!! *Bangs head in the wall*
...Oh, well, let's just go to the ID card.

HUGUN Turret(Metal Slug 7)
[Image: animms7hugunturret.gif] <-- Now these guys can be a bit of nuisance.

You know those "spherical"-shaped turret that come out of the towers in Mission 3: Underground Fortress(More precisely, the first area of said mission)? This is said turret. All animation and what-not from the tiles, with a couple of extras to boot.

Oh, and don't ask about the name, by the way. I had to make it up from the file its tiles are stored in(chr_HUGUN.bin). Unless the game's PSP remake* comes with either an enemy glossary(Heh, why not?), or at least some concept art to work with, this is all I can think of.

And that's that. First post as usual, everyone. Oh, and just 'cause I'm in a good mood... I'm gonna give you a sneak peek on something else I've been working on as of lately.

Credit to esreveR for the explosion SFX.

In honor of the first 2D Mario platformer to grace a home console since the "2nd Console Generation"(16-Bit consoles, you know). Still a WIP.

*A "MSX"-style remake of "Metal Slug 7", for the PSP.

"King Bill", actually. Appears on the final(REALLY final) stage of "NEW Super Mario Bros. WII".

RE: Gussprint's Submissions - Take III
BUMP! And double post, but hey.
Well, looks like 2009's coming to a close, everyone... and all in all I'd say it had its ups and downs(Some being major downs...).

...And no new spritesheets as of yet. so much for ending the year with some new stuff, huh?
I do however bring an(Actually kinda needed) update on an old sheet of mine... Remember the MS Weapon SFX sheet?Wink

Updates are as follows:
Heavy Machinegun/Vulcan Cannon: For starters, the HMG SFX are now updated with the "Pulse+Big" version, also used for the Vulcans in some Slug vehicles.

Flame Shot: Updated with ALL the separate sprites forming the projectile itself. Both "Original(MS1)" and "Deluxe(Post-MSX)", of course.
Thought I'd still keep the pre-assembled versions as a demo of how it works. If you want me to remove 'em though, give a shout.

Laser Gun(Normal): Didn't think too much of 'em on the first run, but there's actually small particles flying out of the laser's end when it hits a wall. Said particles are now included in the sheet.
I'd like to thank esreveR for bringing this to my attention.

I guess that'll be the sheet's final update... for the moment, that is.
With that said, I'm off. First post as usual, everyone... and see ya all in the new year.
