A word from me:
I've received a few requests to use these sprites please note:The sprites below are a result of hard work from the spriters who have contributed to this project. if you wish to use these sprites it is imperative that you seek out the permission of the spriter who made these sprites. at the very least you should always give due credit to the spriters responsible for the sprites you use. on each sheet there are Spriter logo's and you can simply look up in the updates who's sprites are from whom. there is no excuse not to seek out permission to use, hell its just common curtsy.


NOTICE 7-14-09: Short story: Computer was hit with a virus, had to wipe the computer clean lost my game, starting anew. I'm also going to delete all the updates and most notices.

OK, I feel real hesitant about posting this topic for two reasons, the first being its a smash brothers topic. Lord knows we have so many of them already. and the second being, I'm not exactly sure where the guidelines for posting sprite Projects. I don't even thing this is a real "project" its more of a can you guys give me some critiques and or help me? I'm making a RPG for smash brothers, using Rpg Maker 2003 and Ive done a majority of sprites for the game, but I'm just not that pleased with them. And some of them I haven't finished.

each frame only 3 frames per direction are 24X32 and every sprite can only have 256 colors. making bigger characters is slightly problematic...



Notes:

*this Pallet is for all the characters below. any one character can
have up to 256 colors themselves.

*If you want you can add colors to this Pallet, Try to stick to the
pallet as much as possible. but if you find it unbearable to
do so you can add colors to the pitch black squares, just let me
know so I can update the Pallet for everyone.

* if your having trouble spriting a character DON'T GIVE UP! the worst thing you can do is give up, then you don't get the experience to get better at spriting. if you find it difficult take a gander at the 100's of sprite sheets on the site maybe pre-made sprites will help you grasp the character your spriting better- just remember don't just cut and paste really study the sprites.

* Please note that in this style the Neck of a character - with few exceptions cannot be seen.

* The center pose should always be one pixel higher then the other two walking sprites to give the
illusion of walking.

Hummmmm I guess what I'm looking for is either Pointers as to how to make these better, or some help in doing that, maybe some help finishing them up, even some new sprites I can't for the life of me Sprite Master Hand I've tried many times.

I Messed around with The Sonic Sprites and Ended up with Shadow And Tails... But You don't want them so...

Ness needs to be bigger.

My opinions below.

Mario should be fatter and a little shorter than Luigi.
Luigi should have blue overalls...right?
Yoshi can stand up straight.
Link should have his shield on his back or on his right hand.
Fox should be less orange.
Ness needs a bigger head.
Pikachu looks great if you're going for the fat look (first season).
Kirby needs to be a lot rounder.
Pichu is too fat looking on the sides.
Gannondorf looks too dark.
I don't like Snake's hair.
I don't like Ike's hair.
The Pikmin are too small.
