Madeon: Just turned 17 and is rocking the fuck out of everyone

his stuff is undeniably good, but i find his songs all quite samey, but more than samey like it's his style. i'm afraid he's going to use what he's currently good at which constitutes his style as a crutch.
i just hope he doesn't do that. it'd be a waste of good talent.

I've listened to some of his songs, and they're pretty good. They do get quite repetitive, though.

It's true, but at least they're not nearly as repetitive as, say, some Daft Punk or Deadmau5 songs. (Not to say I don't enjoy those two artists). Still, he has a lot of time to improve his style and hone his skills. I think it's impressive he's doing stuff like this at the age he is in the first place.

Well, yeah. The biggest problem with most electronic artists is that they really only have about 2-4 minutes of melodies that are looped and overlayed in various ways for a while. It's annoying; I'd rather have a shorter, less repetitive song than have to sit through the same thing for ten minutes.

Madeon's no exception; some of his songs could probably be 3/4 of what they are and be twice as good. Daft Punk's can be halved or quartered. Deadmau5, possibly more.

Its pretty alright. It reminds me of The Diogenes Club, except not quite as good.

but then, i've always been really picky about these genres.
