I just don't know where to start with it, and I know that the second I DO start I'm gonna be consistently spending time and money on it because it's so awesome.

Haha, I haven't spent any money on any thing One Piece related (but I might buy some shirts and stuff).

Or anything non video game related really but yeah, just reading the manga is the fastest or pickup on the Funimation dub which is at like episode 260 something and skip all the filler

starting from the start would be worth the time since 4kids pretty much ruined the story too

From what I remember the Mustang thing was really drawn out and just done strangely, and Envy's squeaky voice and weird form being revealed as jealous of humans was just kind of...cartoony and silly, not tragic. Which fit even less because it came right after Mustang's revelation

i've read the one peice manga in shonen jump up until somewhere in the 2009 issues (luffy is running from smoker, idk if that's specific enough) and I personally don't see the appeal in it

it seems really boring to me

honestly at first I thought it was just ok up until skypiea to water 7 thats when it starts getting really good

and then I really started liking all of it, but yeah his art style really evolves and the characters become more varied and developed later on which adds a lot more to the humor

but I don't think it's really your thing anyways

Yeah everyone should read it man, despite its popularity I hardly know anyone who reads/watches it.

Most people I know just watched it on TV until it stopped airing and they only saw the 4kids one anyways which skipped 3 majorly important arcs

and I mean READ it manga is almost always better

By the way, whats boring about it? The fight scenes are better than most series

instead of just throwing a billion punches and energy beams with lots of yelling (though luffy does do the punch thing on weaker people, that dosen't work in more difficult and important fights) the characters have to figure out creative ways to exploit a weakness in someones power or just use their brain, skills, and teamwork to defeat foes

name some series that you think have good action and aren't boring

One Piece is definitely awesome. Started when I was 15? I think and haven't stopped I haven't watched any anime episodes except one for the "I HAVE MY NAKAMA" scene. That was as emotional episode.

I have a love hat relationship with One Piece.

Sometimes I absolutely love it, and I can't wait for the next episode/chapter. Sometimes it's too stupid for me to appreciate in the slightest.

I watched subbed episodes until the lightning guy dude person.
And some random episodes after that (because I was made to).

I don't hate it, and I think it gets creative at times.
I'm just not a fan of the visuals: esp. the designs. A lot of characters look the same.
And I get really pissed that some people talk about nothing else re: anime.

tbh to me asking more people to read it is like asking more people to like PBJs

water 7 was like the best arc.
and yeah his characters 'develop'...
they need to stop giving nami breast enlargements wth
