Always seen handhelds as a personal thing. I'd save up for it, at the moment apart from going "Hey look I have a 3DS" there is no rush to buy one.
And that's not a stab against the 3DS - I mean there is no reason to buy any system at launch (well not since the N64).

Question for 3DS having dudes, how's the file support with the SDcard?
Right now I use my DSlite with homebrew stuff so I can listen to audiobooks and use it as a desktop clock when I'm in bed, I'm sure I can read a thousand or more sites telling me it would be perfect for doing that, but I'd like to know if it's actually practical.

I don't know about SD card support, but I'm pretty sure the acekard works on the 3ds. That being said, if your homebrew works there, it'll still work here.

it was one of the main reasons I even wanted a DS, and like a dick I didn't stop to think "Oh hey 3ds is a new system IT MIGHT NOT WORK" :v

i've seen footage of the acekard running on the 3ds, so assuming you have a compatible flash cart, then yeah, you can run stuff from it

NGP is looking interesting too, I'm impressed with how good Uncharted looks and the touch screen and all the motion sensors are amazing. 3DS or NGP? Its a hard choice....wish I had cash to buy both
