RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
Well if you actually downloaded the pack, then I think it was a good April Fool's joke XD .

Just like you, I'll always be.

xxTerminatorxx, don't take a joke to heart. Go whine about it elsewhere and we should be able to get back on-topic.

Just like you, I'll always be.

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
I'm not whining. Also, please stop rebelling against everything I say. I bet if I said I thought it was an awesome joke you would of said it was a bad joke. Is the reason you're acting like this is because I requested a lot of textures from you in the past?

Anyways, if you're going to reply, better Private Message me instead. We should probably " be able to get back on-topic."

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
This is great so far, FRANKASTER. After the full package is released, I'll be checking the textures against the ones I rip to see if anything's missing for you.

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
After ripping all Twin Snakes textures are you going to attempt to rip MGS4 textures? If not MGS2 or MGS3?

It's interesting how Hideo Kojima used models in cutscenes while he could of used actual animation. Hideo put way to much effort into the Navy Officer...

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
i'll continue with mgs2... then i will take a quick lesson on photoshop and i'll try to make a next-gen look on some characters like this little test i made using one texture sample on the internets
[Image: pliskinhd.png] if you look the model rip of snake from mgs4 you will notice something: the polycount of the mgs4 ingame models is the same as the mgs2 ingame model, it makes sense, the diference is on the texture quality, now i truly appresiate they created during the ps2/ngc era, if they used photorealistic textures they mayhave looked like zombies.... but using some mgs4 grade textures (and maybe animation) and subdividing classic mgs1/2 characters will have a pretty neat apearence... that's what i think

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
There's also the fact that normal mapping drastically changes how a model looks. While the texture quality certainly contributes a lot, without a normal map the model won't look nearly as nice without a higher poly count.

Yeah, if Brawl Snake had more of a poly count I could finish the Twin Snakes Alaskan suit... to make the neck-coat thing, I had Irishladdie vertex some of his neck (which had around 4 polys inside it).

Woah... Plisken looks more manlier with his Big Boss styled face. Don't waste you're time ripping Old Snake's model. The textures are all I need.
The only time it would be appropriate to get the model is when a model converter for the PS3 comes out.

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
i downloaded the pack....what was wrong with the textures in the demo?
they looked fine. i just downloaded it today...i'm guessing the joke textures were taken down? {kinda a bummer i wanted to see them too.)

nice work on the MGS2 Pliskin next gen edit....jesus...if thats what snake looks like in MGS2 in HD i'd rather have a low definition tv ...XD
keep up the amazing work buddy......though looking at this gets me wondering what a PS3 remake of MGS would be like...cept they won't have the original MGS theme anymore unfortunatly

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
A PS3 remake of MGS1 would be a waste; they already remade it once (Twin Snakes).

I think it would be awesome if they remade both Metal Gear 1 and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake onto the same game for the PS3.

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
I agree to remakeing MG and MG2...
although i think the fact that they have Michael Biehn as Solid Snake and Sean Connery as Big Boss as friggan hilarios...

RE: METAL GEAR SOLID ABSOLUTE CHARACTER MODEL PACK
For remaking those two games they'll give us MGS4 Gameplay and Graphics, with MG and MG2 storyline... if they make that, that would be awesome!
