Just an fyi to the entire tSR community: this game breaks various laws as he is making money from this.
The entire engine he is using used to be his online Pokemon mmo that got shut-down from Nintnedo. He is literally using the exact same engine and attack/defense, abilities, etc code that was programmed for the pokemon he had. He had 610 pokemon on his original site, he now has 659 or so "monsters". He just changed the graphics and the name slightly.
It hasn't been 100% verified but it is highly probable he has custom stolen graphics based Pokemon and Zelda series in his game which when created were given to the public on the basis they be used in non-profit fan-games and usually credit be given.
NoA and NoE have already been contacted. Various forums where he has posted this have already deleted his topics about this.
Before you ask,"How does he make money?" Look at all the ads. You know he is making at least decent money when he has 10 or so people working on this.
You cannot make money off of a fan-game like this. These kinds of websites/games is what pisses the game companies off. It has the potential to have stricter enforcement of copyright laws. Even tSR could be affected if this guy gets legal action taken against him by Nintendo(which may very well happen) just for keeping this thread active and supporting it.
I have said my part. It's upto you to do some investigative process on your own to determine what you believe. As I already stated, Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe have recently been contacted by a quite a number of people about this website, Monstermmorpg. He was shut-down once already.
If the mods feel this post is breaking rules or bad for business, delete it. I said what needed to be said to keep fan-gaming free of crap like these games.
More evidence he didn't change much: http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Monster-Pictures.aspx
Look at all the Pokemon that are still in this "original" game. It may be free-2-play but that doesn't mean you can support it with ads and make money from it.
In his own forum, he accepts donatins and has publicly shown his monetary budget for continuing to work on this game. As in, once he reaches a certain level of money, then he will work/release new maps. Paying for content on a f2p game?
