Anyway a status update: I have successfully replaced every piece of Tifa's model and figured out the transparency issue I was having.

I'm off to attempt it in-game. I'm compiling my ff7 archive now.

Hey... Looking good! The skirt (or shorts) looks a little strange, but you pieced her together very well!

RE: Tifa FF7 HD (WIP)
I admit the knees look a bit odd in that specific angle. But in-game it looks quite alright. Based on how FF7 renders models there are limitations but the normal model will not have such knee issues.

Here's some in-game screenshots, I should point out that sometimes it seems like the lower half doesn't match up with the upper half of the screenshot, this is because the camera was moving a lot and so it was only able to take the screen capture so fast and so it didn't get it all at the same instant. I apologize but these give you an idea what it looks like in-game:

RE: Tifa FF7 HD (WIP)
This also might be the result of it being rendered in FF7's engine, but it appears Tifa's hair seems really flat in the back. Doesn't seem to have volume/thickness like in her screen shot. Again, I don't know if this is due to how it's rendered in game. Keep up the good work though Big Grin

RE: FF7 High Detail Models Project (Tifa Finished Working on Aerith Now)
I altered her hair to more closely line up with the original FF7 model pieces once I had converted them to FF7 parts. So it's not exactly the same.

Well I've started Aerith now and upon such I'm making this a project thread instead. Most my update is in the first post so I'd ask you to go and look there as well.

Anyway here's how she looks at the moment:

The armbands are yet to be textured. I'm just curious what suggestions people may have. What things do you like about it what do you hate?

Well I used some body pieces from the KH1 model since I'm capable of ripping them. I see no reason to recreate a piece necessary that already exists. XXXXD

Here's the original KH model:

You've got a good base so far. I'd say to extrude out the metal bands around her jacket sleeves, puff out the jacket, and maybe add in the pockets like the official drawing for her. You may also want to change the texturing on h her to match the style of the other models a bit.

In addition this is just because you're importing it into FF7, but you may want to try separating her somewhat before you import the model since a lot of the clothing won't look too nice if its not designed to be animated in separated parts like that.

Great job on Tifa by the way, she came out real well. Like everyone said the knees are kinda screwy, but you'd probably have to mess with them a lot if you wanted them to look good in that engine.

Ausome work on tifa! as for aerith her face looks a little ..er...zombie ish, if it were me i'd just use her head from crisis core and then edit the rest of the model to work for FF7, i actually hated aerith in ff7 because of her design, she came off as a preppy person, it was'nt until crisis core that i was able to get a good look at her and actually see her real personality. the KH1 face is also a good one. the one you are useing now is good, yet it looks too much like her Advent CHildren apperance, it's surprizing how something so little as teh face can change your whole perspective on a person's personality. anyway is tifa going to be uploaded here too? any chance for a MMD showdown aganst cloud?

RE: FF7 High Detail Models Project (Tifa Finished Working on Aerith Now)
@Shadowth: Yeah I suppose the metal band at her sleeves could do well with being larger. In what way would you suggest I alter the textures I'm not sure I understand. I realize I haven't added pockets yet. I wasn't sure if I was going to add them or not though I don't see a reason to not do so. And I'm glad you liked Tifa I put a lot of work into her and I was really happy to see her working well in-game. The FF7 Engine isn't the most advanced that's for sure. So some quality is lost in making it compatible. But yeah she will be highly seperated before she nears FF7.

@valforwing: I have the crisis core model I just prefer the Kingdom Hearts like style. I didn't like the face of the KH1 too much because she's portrayed as a kid. Yet in FF7 she's supposed to be 26 not quite a kid in my opinion. XD And besides how can the face look like Advent Children style when her face wasn't ever fully shown in Advent Children?

Tifa will be uploaded here yes. As for MMD I have no idea. I've kinda moved past it already.

See here's Crisis Core's Aerith's face:

I prefer mine. I've made the eyes bigger though.

Hmm, is it me or does Aerith's head seem too big or disproportionate to the body on Zerox's custom model? It might just be the angles but it seems that way. Other than that, I'd suggest what Shadowth says to give it that FF7 feel while keeping it modern.

Hmm I don't know head size compared to body size is always something trivial for me I guess to some extent. Though I think it's alright. I've made quite a few edits to the face as well as other changes mentioned. How's this now?

Any better?

Looks alot better to me. Feels it has the capture of both the modern and old FF7 style down. Only thing I can say is import into FF7 and see how it works from there. Keep up the good work. Big Grin

Thanks Novax. I do agree that the small changes I did really did help her out a lot. But yeah I suppose the real magic is when we see it in FF7.

Here's a image showing the model from all angles:

Edit: Also I released the FF7 files for Tifa now. You can go grab her here: http://zerox.3dn.ru/load/tifa_battle_mod..._7/1-1-0-1

Her head does look a bit too big. Great job though, Plan to do Red? Tongue

You should add Luigi's Thunderhand to Mario attack.

I've considered doing Red XIII though he's still a ways away for me in-game so I won't do him for a little while still. Tonberry could you move this to projects since it appears Shadowth didn't notice my asking him to move it there?
