I hate to take you to task on it, but most people don't even know what uranium is at all, much less that it's a metal.
(uranium can exist in a liquid state too, liquid uranium is a thing, I'd say "a metallic-ish liquid" is more-or-less one way to describe it.)

I wouldn't say it's an intelligent question or anything, but at least it shows she's tried to find out on her own first, and there's a big difference between being stupid and just being uneducated about something.

Thank you. I think everyone's forgetting I never went to school and never got to learn these "essential facts of life", am forcibly stuck inside, am mature enough for my age, that I'm 15 and actually do possess a brain.

It's a liquid at something like 4000 degrees C or something, from what I remember Of course it can be melted, but I don't think it's pratically used as anything but a solid.
I used that instance as a recent example, but it's really not the first time that something like this would have been sidestepped if Jetters actually looked up the topic in question, whether we ask her to or otherwise. It's what the Internet is for. Finding things out is a good thing; and while ignorance is not an abhorrent trait on its own, willful ignorance is something else.

But yes, this derail is stupid and I'm giving it more attention than it deserves.
