what perk do you pick?
I'm currently a level 2 sharpshooter

Level 5 Medic.

Healing all I can see and actually shoot at, while taking care of Fleshpounds and Scrakes.

in the short time i've played, i've only encountered the patriarch twice

how did it instantly kill me from across the room without shooting me? It happened both times. Is it missing an animation or something?

If you heard him say "One in the pipe"/ "Wanninapie" , he shot a rocket at you.

His animations are all there, so maybe it might have been something wrong on your end?

i didn't even hear him say anything
i had my music louder than the sound effects

seriously though it looked as if he was running to the right (he was on the other side of a HUUUUUUUGE room) and he wasnt even facing me and then out of nowhere i died and it said the patriarch killed me
