RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
Hello, sorry for reviving this thread, but I need a little help, I want to get the .brress files from Metroid: Other M, but all I see inside the ISO is a bunch of files with numbers and no extension, I really hope someone can help me.

I don't think they're labeled actually. I'm not sure if they're compressed or not, but I know that they're not sorted in any intuitive way. I'll PM you the E-mail of someone you can ask about it though.

They all are BRRES files. Either rename them so that they have *.BRRES at the end and open 'em up in BrawlBox, or just let BRRESViewer open them up as they are -- it'll auto-detect the BRRES file and open it up normally.

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
i have been using 3D Via Printscreen and importing models into blender and very often i would get this said

here's a example of one

Unzipping Dolphin.exe_Sat_17_23-27-25_2011.3dxml
Number of images: 55
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "Text.001", line 161 in read
File "Text.001", line 27 in load_meshes
KeyError: ' texture '

hey shadow i don't know if you can help me or not but i was trying to rip the rest of the viewtiful joe characters but i keep getting this python script error

i was using the code on this link http://home.comcast.net/~gamma-ray/tmp/import_3dxml.py to import the models and textures into blender 2.49

Well, I hope I can be of some use, Whenever I use 3DVia Printscreen I use 3DS Max to get the models and convert them to something more useful, and I made this tutorial (a long time ago) for my mates at Paperpokes:

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
Anyone here knows how to rip Dragon Ball Budokai Tenkaichi 3 models in T Pose ?
I know it's possible, I've seen somebody ripped them in T Pose before (And I've got a few of them).
I believe the person ripped the models using 3DVia Printscreen and Dolphin, but whenever I try it myself, the models just won't get into T-Pose (I tried different versions of Dolphin)

PS : The person who ripped the models is from different forum, and the forum is down currently. I can't seem to contact the person.

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
I have a question.
Don't know if i already did it and i missed it but.

Sometimes or most of the times, when you're ripping a Model. they come , kinda not *all smooth* or you can see pieces that should be connected and they aren't
is there any obivous reason ?
or it might be cuz of the program, you're using ? *Wich would be kinda wierd*

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
So, I'm just about there for getting at the Klonoa models from the Wii game...

My only problem is I seem to be unable to find where the game stores his 'main' textures. According to BrawlBox, the one I would make the most use of is called 'p00t_body'. There's a file called texture.bin, but I'm unable to get at its contents with anything (BrawlBox, Noesis, BRRES Viewer, tried 'em all).

Can someone shed any light on what I'm doing wrong?

I guess your best bet is using a 3d printscreen ripper
