The model is flat but we can see a relief. But now I try to rip with opengl but I don't know how to save the model?

Well as long as its not completely flat you should be able to mess around with the FOV settings on import to make the right depth. If you want to rip from Open GL though it would help if you told me what program you were using and what program you were importing into.

Does anybody know how to export a DS model from nsbmd?

Here is a DK model from Mario Kart DS

I don't think you can directly. I'm pretty sure you have to use something else to rip from NSBMD. I've never seen actual documentation for the program so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure all it does is view the models by itself. You'll have to use one of those print screen rippers to get anything from it.

3D Via is probably the best choice for Desmume, but since you don't have Max I can understand if you don't want to go through the other process of converting it.

For EPSXE, once you rip something you're going to have to manually scale it after you import since you aren't importing the .3dr. Only one or two axises should need to be messed with. You may want to do this before you isolate the model from everything else so you have other references to tell if you've scaled it right.

Well honestly I haven't tried what you're attempting to do before so I really have no idea. Maybe Google for Open GL plugins to test?

IIRC though when I tried ripping N64 models with 3D Via and the Open GL plugin it didn't work. No idea about using GL intercept though.

Sorry I couldn't really be of too much help here.

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
About ripping models from the NSBMD viewer: You have to use it in tandem with an OpenGL ripping tool. There's a tutorial on the internet somewhere.

About ripping from certain Gamecube/Wii games: Super Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart Double Dash, Zelda: Wind Waker, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 all use the same graphics engine. thakis has created a program that exports models from all these games into a usable format, but I must warn you that the community thakis is from does not like it when people release models created with simple conversion utilities. Don't make the same mistake I did! It'd suck to see tMR get curbstomped by a much larger community.

RE: Game Specific Model Ripping guides
But that's. Bit silly... It's easy to rip if you know how. Why get angry when something is done which effectively saves the end user a lot of time and effort?

You can't just not rip something because it's easy, that just seems retarded. O just say credit where it's due. Thakis made it easy, so most credit to him really, right?

Oh look at how she listens... She says nothing of what she thinks.
She just goes stumbling through her memories staring out onto Grey Street.
But she thinks, "Hey... How did I come to this? I dreamed myself a million times around the world but I can't get out of this place."
There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in.
And though its red blood bleeding from her now, it felt like cold blue ice in her heart.
When all the colors mix together to grey, and it breaks her heart...

How she wishes it was different... She prays to God almost every night.
And though she swears He doesn't listen, there's a hope in her that he just might.
She says "I pray! Oh, but they fall on deaf ears... Am I supposed to take it on myself to get out of this place?"

I guess I'll go back and add something into the readmes or something for those models. I don't mind giving credit where its due, but I do think its rather silly that people would get upset about something like that. Not a bunch you can do about it though.

Worst case I'll take down models ripped by one of his tools.

For some games that just happens. I thought they had fixed it since SSBB no longer does that in Dolphin, but if you're using an older revision of Dolphin that could be why. Try using Wiiscrubber: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=135884
Just be careful. It edits ISO's as well so just try not to mess too much if you're not sure what you're doing. It extracts things about the same as Dolphin does though so you won't have much of a problem with that.

You know I actually did see that format before in Frogger for PSX and PC a long time ago, but I never really found much. I did learn through a hex editor that its some type of archive format, but other than learned nothing other than that the PC and PSX versions used a different filetypes for what was probably the models.

Oh believe me I remember that. Both those times the author of the program basically flaunted that they had something that COULD convert the format and posted a few screenshots, but other than a few utilities to convert Prime textures, which was admittedly helpful, nothing was ever released publicly on those.

I really do hope that eventually these kinds of ideas stop. IMO the people that made the converters are pretty guilty themselves for making converters and just showing off their results before letting the thread die and never bringing up the topic again. Those converters really may as well of not existed for the good they ended up doing anybody other than being bothersome to people that might actually want to use those models.

Well at least for Melee models it should be possible to rip most of them in TPose at least with 3D Ripper with that one Action Replay code on in Dolphin. I really need to remember to do that sometime...
