it doesn't change the fact that the set-up as is is pretty poor, which is what I'm saying

Because we were going to change tSR's layout as well to this new one. However, mid-production, another new layout was prompted for the final sites which we hope to create which has features we weren't able to make operational at the moment.

As for the "big honkin" space for no reason - the site is about all the stuff in that honkin space. Why are you here if you're not here for anything in that honkin space?

It's okay to have all of these new areas of tsr, that's fine, I have literally no problem with that whatsoever.

What I'm trying to explain though, is that when you have an entire new section for each area of tsr on the forums, it both gets extremely cluttered(because these new sections are so small) and it makes the forum look really amateur and
like we're still back in 2005 and all posting on an invisionfree forum, you know?
It looks like you're too lazy to even organize this in a professional way really


I mean in like 30 seconds I came up with this

The Resource
>Sprite Submissions
>Other area 1
>Other area 2
>etc
>etc
>Sprite Showcase(because sprite discussion is really just irrelevant to what actually goes on in this forum)
>Games Development
>Sprite Projects
>Community Projects


Because aesthetically, an above average(in size) section like that one is infinitely more appealing than what you have going on right now, it's easier to navigate through, and it makes the forum look less like it was thrown together by 14 Year Old Boy With His First InvisionFree Forum

For the models-resource, why not put a larger preview on the 'sheet' page instead of a huge 'archive' button? The preview would still link to the actual archive (and/or a link above and/or below the image).
Yes it's more work (for either updater (more work) or submitter (a small effort compared to obtaining the model)), but you can hardly make out the quality (if at all) of the models with the space available on an icon.


Also, the forum 'The Textures Resource->Other Systems' should probably be 'The Textures Resource->Submissions->Other Systems'

Posting without reading or really knowing anything about what's going on: but, uh... I kinda think it would make sense to make model and texture all one resource. Have the separate sections within the board for each but merge the two together. I mean, the vast majority of textures (if not all) are just going to be used for models anyways; wouldn't it make sense for them to be in the same place?

Actually, my only problem with these 4 other sites is that these make me feel like TSR is just one resource site among many. It started it all, nevertheless.

Meh, I don't really like where TSR is going, why does it have to have a whole bunch of seperate sites for each different thing. It used to be just about sprites, now it'll just be a bunch of things that not many people really even use for anything.

Going downill in my opinion. I liked the old TSR.

Well the forum is the only thing really affected by this. The website itself is still itself.
As for the forum I agree that I like it better when it was just the spriting, but what can be done?
My only idea would be to integrate the different boards more into one big submission board with all of its subboards in there and have everything else in the arts board or similar places.

To add to this is that tSR isn't going to go downhill because we added more sites to it. Infact I actually really like the sisters sites but I do think that all the submition areas be combinded like this:
Category: Submit your work (Or whatever you wanna call it)
Forum: The Spriter's Resource | Subforums: DS, Sega Genesis, other game systems
Forum: The Model's Resource | Subforums: The categories that it has on the site.
and so on and so forth.

Then we can make a Arts Category that has General art, Sprite discussion, Music, Model making, whatever forums and then we could have a Game making catargory where all of the game projects we have will go, where people can post the development of their own games, and whatever else that can be added.

Yeah, I really think how it is now would just be too much useless clutter. We could easily integrate them all together making it simpler and more effective.
