Well I'm not happy with some of the character selections, but what I do is just ignore them in their topics, that way, I can still try my best to contribute to this project, but only on characters that I like. So, if you don't like one character, just pretend you don't see it, and move on. (even though it will always be there)

On top of that, if you don't like a character, maybe you can contribute something to that character that will improve him, and in the process, possibly reduce your dislike of that character.

Well, this is pretty much one of the best rosters I've ever seen, mostly due to including Dixie&Kiddy. I had that idea when NOBODY liked it. WELL WHO'S LAUGHING NOW!?
There are a couple things I would change, but I respect the decisions already made, this is my personal opinion:
Waluigi for Captain Syrup, or better yet, Kamek.
Saki for Toad, as you all seem to have ignored that Mario series has only 5 characters, while Pokemon has six. Alternatively, swap out Deoxys for something for its own series(Balloon Fighter?) and change up the Pokemon Trainer(Pichu, Zoroark and Gardevoir???).

And honestly, those are the only changes I'd make. But I do understand why you would do otherwise.
Also, major props for Tingle. He deserves it so bad. He should get his own insignia, and it should be a rupee.
Good roster, I look foward to playing this.

Small question though, what do the borders mean on the CSS? I understand Blue for Newcomers, but what's pink? Is that 'completed' characters, or what?

One last note, How's this for those whom you start with from the get-go?

30 characters, 9 of which are newcomers. If anybody has any questions on the decisions, go ahead and ask.

I dont think deoxys should be a starter, because he is a legendary Pokemon, and much rarer in the games. I would have Pokemon Trainer instead.

I think Deoxys should be unlocked by using Trainer in Adventure and him having to defeat Deoxys to unlock it.

Deoxys could be "the new Mewtwo", with Mewtwo himself being slightly easier to unlock this time around (well maybe not easier, but requiring something other than leaving the game on overnight). My reasoning behind this is that Mewtwo has been playable before, Deoxys hasn't.

Just an idea, but:
Mewtwo = beat Adventure Mode with Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu, Jigglypuff and Lucario on Normal or harder difficulty. (you fight him at the end)
Deoxys = beat Adventure Mode with Mewtwo on Hard or harder difficulty, plus Classic Mode as Pokémon Trainer, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Lucario and Mewtwo on Normal or harder difficulty. (you fight him at the end)

I'm going to explain about some things:

1. Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Yoshi, Kirby, Pikachu and Fox McCloud were starters in N64/Melee/Brawl
2. Peach, Bowser, Zelda, Sheik and Ice Climbers were starters in Melee/Brawl
3. Wario, Diddy Kong, Captain Olimar, Meta Knight, Samus Aran, Pkmn Trainer, Lucas and Ike were starters in Brawl
4. At the beginning of Smash Bros (And in Brawl), Ness was a secret character. (The reason of Masked Man as a starter)
5. Personally, I don't like when in Brawl we had Port Town stage but no F-Zero character. (The reason of C. Falcon as a starter)
6. There are five newcomer in the starter rooster (Two from old franchises: Krystal and Masked Man. Two from new franchises: Little Mac and Stafy. One from a franchise in Brawl without a playable character: Villager)
7. Some people said that Lucario would be a starter character. Here is he!
8. Marth is a starter because the most part of the franchises have two starter characters.
9. Sonic and Snake were the first Third Party characters. This time is the turn of the rest!
10. King Dedede is the only after-starter character that begins as a secret one.

30/60 starters, 5/23 newcomers in the starter rooster. What do you think?
