Nope, it's a separate, playable character.

I would go on a whim and say that these models were made by Nintendo. I highly doubt SquareEnix would invest time in a sports game, nevermind edit their character designs to suit Nintendo's cartoonish features..

Ninja? The SMD files seem to be in his archive. However, I noticed that I accidentally included older versions of Ninja's DAE files in with the Slime's models (and not the SMDs). Was that the one you were looking in?

Seeing as the models for the characters are completely new compared to the ones that Nintendo has used for their spin-off games, and seeing that Square-Enix also developed Mario Hoops 3 on 3 (a.k.a. Mario Slam Basketball, or Mario Basketball 3on3), it's very likely that they also made the character models for Mario Sports Mix.

No one really has claims to it. Anyone could go and do it, but generally multiple people don't rip a game at once to avoid redundancy. Plus depending on the ripper they may only do a game on and off to avoid having things get too tedious.

Since I'm able to rip them with their rigging intact, yes, they will be rigged. And as for Brawl, since there is someone else working on the characters from that game, I'll leave most of the work up to them. However, I'll want to get at least the Ice Climbers, though, since they're my favourite characters from the game.

I was actually thinking of either Zerox or Shadowth117, since they had ripped a few models from the game.

Yes, I am the same RandomTBush from the SmashBoards, but Pharrox never did release the exporter for the Battle Revolution models.

I suppose this is a bit off topic but since we're already on the subject of converters, do you have a working build of the Metroid Prime model viewer mpxviewer? I'm not going for that game at the moment, but I'd love to get some of the stuff from those games in the future and unfortunately I'm unable to compile the newer working build of it.

@Shadowth117 there's someone on facepunch who ripped a bunch of metriod prime models with 3d ripper dx. You could ask him if he'll upload the models.
