Aren't rotations just a single sprite... rotated? We don't need all of them.

RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project
I suppose I should have asked first; I had forgotten it was a beta, truth be told. I wouldn't go spreading this particular build all around, at any rate, but I think using it for sprite ripping is fair; besides, pretty much all of the actual editing functionality is in the current released version.

RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project
I wouldn't worry about it. I prefer having a non rotated sprite so that way the user can do whatever they want to it. And I know that this is the beta version, but some of the bosses aren't perfect looking. Some of the frames has a white square over it and their pallets are different (like I said on one of my previous posts). Also, These sections (whatever you want to call them) the sprites are a mess: E, 17, 18, 19, 1A-25, 29-2C.

Oh and I've finished Luigi! However, this sheet does not include the poses where he carries a fainted ally because it might take up half the sheet. It's enough to have it's own sheet. I'll do all that extra junk after I've done the solo bros. I may do Baby Mario next! And why I always manage to get sheets done around this hour, I'll never know.

Ah...what I meant by 'rotations' were the 'in-sprite' rotations, such as the Shroob 'waving goodbye' or the little lasers Princess Shroob's throne-saucer uses. For the most part it's pretty disruptive as these parts overlap the main sprite and the component that's supposed to rotate sort of just...flies around on it. There are others, but for the most part they're not impossible to get in-game (Except Elder Princess Shroob's Soul's full sprites). Hopefully it'll be solved in due time, and I'm pretty sure it will...

Just something quick before I start Baby Mario. I can already tell he'll have more poses than Luigi. The Pocket Chomp will need to be re-ripped as well, but you'll need to recolor the bow because it's white instead of pink.

dude.

that is amazing.

how'd you get the effects and stuff out the way? Seriously, this is actually kind of intimidating, I feel tempted to have my Mario sheet removed just so you can be able to rip the rest. XD

Also I thought we were keeping the seperate bros actions on their own sheets like MLBIS?

Check out Jdaster64's post on the previous page with the download link for Yoshi Magic. It's real easy. All the animations are in there. You just gotta screen cap each frame it gives you. You don't need to play the game or anything, just the rom. Just try it yourself before changing your mind.

Also, we don't really need to leave the bros. moves on their own sheets because since Yoshi Magic already gives you the separate poses, there's no need. Only the items will be on their own, like my Koopa Shells for example.

RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project
So we could put all the Bros items on one sheet and the character sprites that go with them on another, maybe?

That wouldn't work because 1, some of the characters use the same poses for some of the bros items, and 2, there are so many fire flower effects, it's enough to have its own sheet. I'd saw just keep things the way they're going.

It still gives me that weird glitched up sprites. Must mean I'm doing something wrong or something.

Where it says Layer Mode, there's a drop-down menu. Change it to Non-tiled.

Princess Peach is finished! Big Grin

I like this program, but now I know my backgrounds were incomplete in many ways... I claim to rerip my old backgrounds (and others backs if it's possible xDD) but I don't know how to rip them in Yoshi Magic.

RE: M&L: Partners in Time Ripping Project
You've got the hang of it! But sadly, I don't think you'll be able to rip overworld background with Yoshi Magic. I also might just ignore the enemies and bosses for now because the beta version makes them look incomplete. For now, we can concentrate on the Bros and the NPC's. And ya, sorry I don't have anything done yet. Feels like I've been ripping non-stop so I'm just taking it easy. Maybe I'll start something tomorrow.
