Err yeah so I'm normally not interested in fighting games but Skullgirls interests me. Mostly because of it's art deco influence and Golden Age cartoon references with the character Peacock who is inspired by 30's and 40's cartoons. Damn that sounds like stuff I like!

I wanted to make a topic about it in the gaming forum, but due to it's excessive fanservice I'm afraid to.

I know that can be dangerous territory on these boards.

yeah, it's just another generic fighting game with tits. it's nothing special.

I don't know/care enough about skullgirls to actually care (so not to seem like I'm defending it or anything), but from what I've heard it makes a ton of jokes and references and stuff to other games and (aside from the art style) is actually good and entertaining?

i don't really like the apporoach of the game, with all those weird fetish stuff and all, but otherwise looks pretty decent.

It's pretty good, imo. Solid fighting system, mechanics and balacing (if you care about that. It's a lot of fighting game mechanics merged togheter). The characters, as much fanservice-ish they are, are interesting and varied. The references are funny too. And of course good music by Michiru Yamane. For $15, that's a really good deal, I recommend it.
